In most cases the boat is shown at docks or in actual service, for when Detroit built boats leave the yard there is very little opportunity for detaining them long enough to make fancy or advantageous photographs of them. With these pictures and those shown in illustrating the plant, and the pen pictures used in connection with the historical resume, a review of the Dry Dock fleet is placed before the reader. Taken all in all, the boats in their different classes, where is there a fleet of any other lake builder that will compare with it favorably in speed, carrying capacity, money-earning ability? and as for long-lived boats they speak for themselves, or rather their owners speak for them, as the following page will show. \
