The Launch of the Thomas Y. Avery - At half past six on Saturday afternoon Messrs. Crockett & Rogers launched their new vessel, which, though we did not see, we are informed went off in fine style. It was quite difficult to secure the ways in the water, there being a little sea running on Saturday afternoon, but it was finally accomplished and was pronounced the best launch of the season. Above we give the name of the new vessel, borne of one of our most enterprising business men, which will be a safe guarantee for her reliability. It took clearance today and leaves this evening for Chicago with 750 bbls salt. This is quick work, characteristic of the energetic builder and owner of this vessel.
