- NOTICE
THE following PUBLIC VESSELS, will be sold at Auction, at Sackett's harbor, on the 15th day of May next, by order of the honorable the Secretary of the Navy -- Brig Oneida, about 240 tons burthen; Schooner Governor Tompkins, 96 tons; Fair American, 82 tons; Ontario, 81 tons; Conquest, 82 tons; Asp, 57 tons; -- Pert, 50 tons; York, (formerly Duke of Gloucester) 147 tons -- This vessel had undergone a thorough repair a short time before she was captured.--Most of the above vessels are well found, and in a condition to be employed immediately. The terms of sale will be cash. Any information that may be required respecting these vessels will be given by application to the commanding officers of the United States Naval Forces on Lake Ontario.
