Description
Full Text

Around the Chain of Lakes. The Ontario elevator at Buffalo, a wooden structure with a capacity of 400,000 bushels, collapsed Sunday and fell into the Evans slip, blocking that channel. At the time of the accident there was 375,000 bushels of barley in the elevator. The structure is a total wreck and the loss will aggregate $350,000. The deepening of the slip had undermined the piling and caused the elevator to topple over. Fortunately no boats were in the slip.
