Rebuilding the Joses. The schooner Joses of Racine, Capt. Even Johnson, was docked at the shipyard Monday, where she will receive a general rebuild below the water-line. Among the work to be done on the craft is to put in six new bilge strakes, garboard strakes, new futtocks in bilge fore and aft, center-board box, some new keelsons, some new deck planking, and a thorough recalking. The job will take nearly a month and cost about $1,400. As the Joses had a rebuild above the water-line a few years ago the work now being done on her will make the craft practically a new boat.
