Around the Docks and Bay. Alex. Egeland was in this city Monday visiting friends and relatives. He was on his way to Two Rivers to enter the lifesaving station, having been transferred from South Manitou island to that port. Alex. Says that the night the Alert and stone scow was lost the crew of which he was a member went out but could find no trace of the craft in the darkness. A tremendous sea was running at the time, he says.
