M. M. Sullivan of Toledo is building a dredge that will be one of the largest in the United States. It will be 110 feet in length, 38 feet beam and 12 feet deep. The machinery will have a capacity of 5,000 yards of earth per day. The lifting power of the main engine will be 140,000 pounds. The boiler, which has been built by Johnston Bros. of Ferrysburg, Mich., has a working pressure of 125 pounds.
