Marine Review (Cleveland, OH), 31 Aug 1899

Description
Full Text

Around the Great Lakes. Having finally acquired the harbor tugs of L. P. & J. A. Smith, Cleveland, and the Dunham Towing & Wrecking Co. of Chicago, the Great Lakes Towing Co. (consolidated tug interests) is now practically in possession of the towing business of the entire chain of lakes. The Milwaukee tugs and some of the vessels at Toledo are still out, but the business of these ports is not large in proportion to the numerous other ports that are controlled by the consolidation.
