Full Text

Capt. Chas. Gnewuch died at his home in Manistee on Wednesday night of last week, aged 72 years. Captain Gnewuch was one of the oldest and best known masters on Lake Michigan on which body of water he had sailed for upward of half a century. He was part owner of the fine steambarge Edward Buckley, which craft he sailed up to a couple of months ago, when he was compelled to give up on account of an aggravated case of gall-stones.
