Beaches Leaking Boat

DETROIT. July 6.--Steamer Edward Buckley, lumber laden and full of water, is still ashore at Colchester, with the tug Leroy Brookes of Amherstburg and a couple of steam pumps working on her. Part of her cargo is being lightered on the barge Dresden.

The Buckley is reported to have struck some obstruction near Bar Point on her way down Monday forenoon. She proceeded until about four miles below colchester. The water was then coming in so fast that the captain turned back and beached the steamer almost under Colchester light. The tug Michigan and lighter Rescue returned from the Buckley today.
