THE CANAL REOPENED.

The tug Bronson arrived this morning from Montreal with four light barges.

The schooner Echo, Cobourg, arrived this morning with a cargo of wheat consigned to Richardson & Sons.

The schooner Annie Minnes, light, cleared this morning for Pelee Island to load grain for Richardson & Sons.

The tug Thomson arrived from Montreal last evening with three barges and cleared again with two, grain laden.

The steamer Saturn and consorts, and the steamer Bannockburn, bound up light, were among the fleet delayed by the break in the Welland canal.

Repairs to lock seven of the Welland canal were completed yesterday and locking resumed. Two large fleets, one at either entrance to the canal, awaited the opening.

The tri-weekly service of the Richelieu & Ontario navigation company, between Toronto and Montreal, will commence on Monday next. Three steamers a week will run till the middle of June, when the daily service will be put on.

p.3 The Shipyard Is Very Busy - Deseronto, May 26th - ....The shipyard will be kept busy for some time to come. The Wave Crest will be off the last of the week. She has a new deck and beams besides a rudder and other sundry repairs. The Sea Foam, of Sackett's Harbor; Eliza Fisher, of Kingston; Mary, of St. Catharines, are in for repairs. The Van Allen is loading with lumber here.
