IN MARINE CIRCLES.

The steamer Rosedale cleared yesterday, light, for Cleveland.

The steamer Bannockburn, light, passed up through the Welland yesterday bound for Fort William.

The steamer Queen City, of Toronto, came from Toronto last evening, to convey the 40th batt. home to Cobourg.

The tug Thomson, light, arrived from Montreal yesterday and proceeded to the locomotive works where her machinery is being overhauled.

The schooner Nellie Hunter, Oswego, 375 tons of stove coal, arrived at Crawford & Co.'s wharf yesterday afternoon. She cleared again today for the same port to reload.

The R. & O. steamer Hamilton called at Swift's wharf last evening on her way from Hamilton to Montreal. She carried a heavy cargo of freight. Several passengers boarded the vessel here for Montreal.

The steamers New Island Wanderer and Island Belle, owned by the Alexandria Bay steamboat company, are advertised for sale, under mortgage foreclosure on a claim held by Addison L. Upham of $10,000 and interest from March 1st, 1897.

Incidents of the Day - The schooner S.H. Barnes arrived yesterday at Garden Island, with a cargo of 1,000 tons of coal from Toledo, for Calvin & Co.
