MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

The schooner Eliza White cleared this morning for Chicago.

The schooner Fleetwing, Charlotte, arrived this morning with coal for James Swift & Co.

Called at James Swift & Co.'s wharf - steamer Bohemian, Toronto to Montreal; steamer Spartan, Montreal to Toronto.

The Richelieu & Ontario Navigation company are putting the steamer Richelieu on the Kingston and Cape Vincent route.

The steamer Richelieu, of the R. & O. navigation company's line, arrived in port last evening and will at once start on the Cape Vincent-Kingston route.

The tug Active, flagship of the M.T. company's fleet, in command of admiral Gaskin, left this morning for Oswego. The tug took over a couple of auxiliary cruisers for coal.

p.6 Snips - An old mariner pointed out to a Whig representative today that the largest and safest life boat of the steamer Caspian lies on the wharf at the foot of Clarence street. He was looking for the government steamboat inspectors to call their attention to the fact.

While coming up the river today the steamer Columbian lost one of her wheels. It slipped from the shaft and disappeared. The steamer was an hour and a half late in arriving here.

An Electric Launch - The first electric launch seen among the Thousand Islands arrived at Clayton Wednesday. She is the Karuna and sent by the Electric launch company, Morris Heights. She is going to Dewey Island to be used this summer by E.W. Dewey, Pittsburg. She is built on graceful lines, is thirty-five feet long and runs eight miles an hour for a ten hour run without recharging her batteries.
