THE ALEXANDRIA ASHORE.

Went Aground on Salmon Island Late Friday Night.

The steamer Alexandria, coming down the lake, well laden with freight, went ashore at Salmon Island, up the lake, Friday night. The steamer Cornwall, of the Calvin Company, was dispatched to her assistance. It is thought she is pretty well on, and a good deal of the freight will have to be taken off.
