STEAMER CORNWALL SOLD.

By the Calvin Company to the Donnelly Concern.

The wrecking steamer Cornwall has changed hands. She has been purchased by John Donnelly and the estate of the late Thomas Donnelly from the Calvin Wrecking company. The Cornwall, though an old vessel, has a steel hull, and is in splendid condition. She makes a valuable acquisition to the outfit of the Donnelly Salvage and Wrecking company, which recently released the steamer Hecla, which grounded in the St. Lawrence river. Four steam pumps of the Calvin Company are included in the transfer of the wrecking property, which was effected on Saturday. The Cornwall is now lying at the old G.T.R. freight wharf. The Donnelly concern is better equipped than ever to handle all wrecking jobs.

p.5 I.M.C. - Steamer Cornwall To Be Used To Release the Navajo -

The first wrecking job in which the steamer Cornwall will be utilized by the Donnelly Salvage & Wrecking company, will be the releasing of the steambarge Navajo, which is aground at the Ducks. The Cornwall was being fitted up on Tuesday and expected to be at the Navajo for work at daybreak on Wednesday.

-Capt. Israel La Rush sold sloop Granger to Capt. Turcott of Gananoque, owner of Kitty Wells.

Navajo In Bad Shape - Owing to the heavy gale on the lake on Sunday night, it is believed that the steambarge Navajo, which went aground near the Main Ducks, received a severe pounding. Some of the mariners feared that the vessel would be almost a total wreck. The Donnelly Wrecking Company will send a vessel to the scene as soon as the weather is favorable.
