Marine News

There is an unknown schooner on the Ducks, which it is almost impossible to approach owing to the weather.

South Bay, Sept. 18th - The schooner Wanderer, of Port Hope, went ashore on Gull Bar on Monday night. The tug A. Wright, of Port Hope, will get her off as soon as the weather permits.

The schr. Manzanilla is still aground on Amherst Island. Owing to the heavy weather it has been impossible to pull her off. She has suffered very little damage from her accident. As soon as the weather moderates Capt. Donnelly will make the attempt to pull her off. Two steamers went up this morning, but could not reach her.
