p.3 Schooner Aground - On Friday night the schooner Elgin ran aground at the entrance to the Lachine Canal. She was en route for Chicago laden with railway iron for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The vessel still remains fast, and will have to be lightened of her cargo before she can be got off.

Marine News - The schooner Rising Star got aground yesterday afternoon on the south side of Grape Island on the Upper Gap. A tug was telegraphed for.
