Provincial Parliament of Upper Canada

House of Assembly

Friday, Dec. 16th - House went into committee on Welland Canal Petitions, and the following Resolution was adopted:

"Resolved, that it is the opinion of the House, that it would undoubtedly be expedient to authorize by law the deviation from the route of the proposed Canal from the Mountain to the 12 Mile Creek, as prayed for in the Petition of the President and Directors of the Company, and surveyed and reported upon by Mr. Clowes and Mr. Roberts, Engineers."

Dec. 17th - The House went into committee on sundry Petitions relating to the Welland Canal - (gives 4 resolutions reported by committee).
