p.3 House of Assembly - Dec. 30th - "appointed a committee to enquire into and report upon the state of the Light House at Gibraltar Point, and the expediency of providing a fund for its support, by the imposition of a Light House duty, with power to send for persons and papers, and to report by bill or otherwise.

Jan. 4th - Welland Canal Loan Bill read a second time.

- address to Lt. Governor about importance of £70,000 loan for building canal between Kingston and Ottawa River.
