p.2 a visit to Kingston Mills - ..."We found three locks in rapid progress, exhibiting the most substantial pieces of architecture we have ever witnessed and a science in their construction highly creditable to the talents of Mr. Drummond the contractor for this Section of the works. We were highly pleased with the operations of the Steam-Boat, which with his usual enterprise he constructed for the purpose of pumping with the aid of a double engine the water from the coffer dam..."
