p.3 The Welland Canal - The House of Assembly has authorized the Welland Canal Co. to borrow upon the credit of the Province £200,000, part of which is to go to pay old debts.

Died - On Sunday the 6th inst. Mr. Alexander McDonald, shipwright of His Majesty's Dock Yard, a native of Scotland, aged 51 years.
