p.1 St. Lawrence Canal Report - by Board of Commissioners to Sir John Colborne; hired Benjamin Wright, as Engineer, had survey done. (3 columns)

p.2 Report of Stockholders of Tay Navigation Co. - have done all work from Rideau Canal to Perth with exception of hanging gates. [Montreal Gazette]

p.3 The Welland Canal - Engineer Wright does not think steam will supercede sail on inland waters.

The Niagara Falls Canal - editorial - lower province would be affected as well as upper province if this canal was built on American side.

The Improvement of the St. Lawrence - editorial on article on page one.
