Improvement of Navigation of the River Saint Lawrence - discussed in House of Assembly. [Patriot]

We feel much pleasure in announcing to the public, that the new steam boat building at this place, intended to run between Prescott and Montreal, is in a forward state. Notwithstanding Mr. Bush's Report, 10% on £3000 has been collected. We have seen a gentleman who witnessed the first trial of Mr. Burden's Boat, but who gave entirely a different account statement to that of Mr. Bush, and is fully confident that the Prescott boat will succeed. [Grenville (Prescott) Gazette]

Welland Canal and St. Lawrence - a 2 column editorial.

p.3 For Sale - A Schooner, upwards of 100 Tons Burthen, particularly well fitted for the Lumber Trade. She was built in the Spring of 1832, and is in good repair, with Sails and Rigging complete. For particulars apply to Robert Drummond. Kingston, Feb 22nd, 1834.
