1835 KINGSTON CHRONICLE & GAZETTE

p.3 Loss of the Schooner General Brock - We regret to learn that this vessel while on her trip from Prescott to Toronto, ran ashore on the 14th ult., during a heavy gale, about 2 miles west of Pultneyville. A large portion of the Cargo was lost, but all hands were fortunately saved.

Notice - The Stockholders of the Steam Boat St. George are requested to meet at my office on Saturday, the 10th instant, at noon. David John Smith, Kingston, Jan. 3rd, 1835.
To Contractors - Tenders will be received by the Subscribers until the 12th day of January current, for the building of a Wharf on the North side of Garden Island, to be finished by the first day of May next. Also, for the alteration of the Hull of a Scow, lying there. Specifications of which will be shewn at their place of business in Store Street.
