It is reported that by some mistake the new steam-boat building at the Rock is of such length that she cannot be taken through the Harbor Lock. Will com. B. order the Lock to be enlarged to accommodate this boat? Some affidavits might be procured to have a bearing on this subject.

It may refer to the CHIPPAWA then under construction, or to the PIONEER which was originally intended for the river and then enlarged for Lake Erie service.
