Maritime History of the Great Lakes
White Star (Steamboat), 20 Jul 1901
Full Text

On Sunday the Crystal Beach Line management will put on an additional boat and increase the number of trips. The popularity of Crystal Beach was never so great as now, the fine bathing there offered making it a particularly desirable place to go this hot weather. Every boat carries a large number of persons anxious for a pleasant lake ride and a delightful rest when the beach is reached.
Manager Rebstock stated yesterday that he expected the new side wheeler, the WHITE STAR, to be here by Sunday, but should she fail to arrive there will be no change in the programme, as manager Ebel of the International Navigation Co. has placed the stm. AMERICA at Mr. Rebstock's disposal in case she is needed.
