Plans undertaken some time ago for the consolidation of the North Shore Navigation Co. and the Great Northern Transit Co., Canadian lines are progressing satisfactorily to both interests, and it is understood that all details of the new corporation, to be known as the Northern Navigation Co., Ltd., will soon be completed. The combined fleets will comprise five vessels, the CITY OF MIDLAND, ATLANTIC, CITY OF PARRY SOUND, CITY OF TORONTO and CITY OF LONDON, for the service in Georgian bay between Collingwood, Ont., and Sault Ste. Marie, calling at all ports; and for Lake Superior service between Collingwood, Port Arthur and Duluth, the line will have the steamers MAJESTIC and CITY OF COLLINGWOOD. A new steamer, to be named the GERMANIC, is building at Collingwood and will be launched in July. The capital stock is being increased in order to allow of further development and improvement in the Lake Superior service.
