The schooner S. THAL, about 75 feet long, loaded with Christmas trees for Chicago was lost when she foundered off Glencoe on lake Michigan. About 4 crewmen were lost. She was bound from Sturgeon bay. Wreckage, including 2 lifeboats and the entire stem of the ill-fated boat have been found along the beach between Glencoe and Winnetka.
