p.2 Plea of a Mariner - wants his friends to visit him at Snug Harbor, where he is currently ill.
p.3 Wolfe Island, March 8th - .....The pros and cons are being discussed as to the advisability of the council engaging an engineer for the Wolfe Islander, at $800 per annum as the reeve states he had one practically engaged at $600. D. Simmons, Garden Island, was the one engaged. Many ratepayers feel that municipal ownership is not to be desired. The ratepayers all think that the citizens of Kingston should at least provide for islanders a free wharf, as they must all admit that the island is of great benefit to the city. Reeve Spoor will interview the city council on the above question.
p.5 Personal Mention - Capt. Muller, who has been in the city for a few days, inspecting some vessels, has returned to Toronto.
A.J. Goodearle, general manager of the Turbine Steamship company, Toronto, is in the city on business.
p.8 World News - At Ottawa the Dominion Marine Association put up strenuous objection to the proposed harnessing of the Long Sault rapids in the St. Lawrence river by an American company.
The Detroit and Cleveland Navigation company, if the present mild weather continues, will start its first boat to Cleveland on March 25th.

All members of the Lake Seamen's Association are requested to attend a meeting at the Union Hall Wednesday evening, 10th inst., at 8 p.m. V.A. Olander, Chicago, General Secretary, will address the meeting on matters pertaining to the organization and of general interest to all the members.
