Please watch for details in the February "Scanner". * * * * * * * THE EDITOR'S NOTEBOOK Our December Meeting was very well attended and featured Bill B r e a k e r 's excellent presentation on the ways in which various types of tugboats have developed to suit the particular uses intended for them. All present enjoyed the show, and the evening was a great success. The Case of the Missing Ph o t o p a g e : Having watched members receiving their new issues of "Scanner" at our meetings, we know that generally the first thing they do is to look for the photopage. If they do that with this issue, unfortunately, they will not find one! No, we are not trying to deprive members of their visual stimulation, nor are we suggesting that we don't have photos to illustrate this month's feature. In fact, Bas Hea d ford, of Minett Printing & Photographic, who is the genius behind the pro duction of our beautiful photopages, had to undergo some surgery recently, and he has needed to take some time off work for his recovery. There will indeed be a photopage for the January issue, but it will mailed to you along with a later issue (in February, we hope). So please be patient, and you'll see the A. McVITTIE soon!
