The body of a man was found on the shore of lake Erie, about a mile above the mouth of Buffalo Creek, which had the appearance of having been in the water two or three weeks, he was about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, light hair; had on a blue sailors roundabout jacket and vest, linen overalls, grey woolen stockings, and artificial marks on his arms, on one arm that of a gun Brig. Five guineas, $6.37, 1-2 cents in silver and two new flag silk handkerchiefs were found in his pockets
An inquest was had upon the body by Joseph Landon, Esq. coroner. Supposed to have been a British sailor.
