H.M. Armed Luggers, KINGSTON, QUEBEC, and BLACK SNAKE, 1813 and 1814
A number of such vessels were used by the British naval forces to convoy brigades of supply boats on the St. Lawrence between Montreal and Kingston. Bases were at Coteau du Lac, Cornwall, Prescott, and in the Thousand Islands. The three vessels shown were stationed at Coteau du Lac.
