In my last quarterly return I expected to discontinue my light by the 1st of December & consequently so made my return. But the "Chicago Packet" continued to run between this & Chicago for some time afterwards and I thought it my duty to keep up my light and done so. I therefore send you the following account as an addition to that of last quarter, which I hope will reach you in time. Eleven Lamps lit up from Dec. 1st 1833 to Dec. 8th inclusive & eight lamps lit up from Dec 9th to Dec 16 inclusive. Consumed 11 Gallons wine oil. consumer 57 wicks. Broke 8 tube glasses. My Lamps & Apparatus are defective never having been sufficiently repaired.

P.S The "Packet" is beached up the Lake & will probably be lost. She is owned by Major Britain. T.F.
