Schooner ONEIDA, ashore above Milwaukee.

The EMPIRE went to the assistance of the Schooner ONEIDA ashore below Milwaukee, and took off most of the freight. When the EMPIRE left it was thought the vessel would be soon got off.

The schooner ONEIDA, Captain David M. Angel, from Cleveland, loaded with with whiskey, apples, iron, and merchandise, for this city, went ashore about twelve miles north of here, early Sunday morning. She lies in about five feet water. The captain has come here for assistance and hopes to be able to get the vessel off, though the cargo will be necessarily damaged. The ONEIDA, belongs to Merrick, Davis & Co. of Oswego - Milwaukee Sentinal, 9th.

The EMPIRE returned from the ONEIDA Tuesday night with a scow load of her cargo. She reports the ONEIDA as having about two feet of water in her. The steamer TROWBRIDGE, with a scow and a gang of hands, was dispatched to the assistance of the ONEIDA yesterday morning. As the weather continues favorable, strong hopes are entertained that she will be got off. The cargo is considerably damaged.

The Steamer TROWBRIDGE returned to this port about midnight, Wednesday, with the ONEIDA in tow. The ONEIDA does not seem to be much injured. She will go into the floating dock for repairs. - Milwaukee Sentinal, Nov. 12.
