IRON CITY Propeller, damaged machinery on Lake Superior, June 1860. Property
loss $2,000

The steamer NORTHERN LIGHT arrived from lake Superior yesterday, having left
Ontonagon on Tuesday the 5th. MEMORANDA
"The IRON CITY broke her shaft at the Sault on Friday morning, and lost one
wheel. A new wheel has been ordered for her, and she will unload her cargo at
the Sault and go to Detroit for repairs."
