EMPIRE STATE Propeller, ran into the Propeller C. MEARS, which was discharging lumber at Chicago. MEARS damaged $4,000.

SUNK. -- The propeller C. MEARS, we are informed, was struck by the propeller PRAIRIE STATE, and so badly injured that she sank immediately. We presume another boat will be put on her route. The MEARS was the only boat from Chicago traversing the eastern shore of our lake, north of Muskegon. Occurred at Chicago. --- Grand Haven News.
