LAKE FOREST Schooner, ice-bound off Erie; rescued and towed to Buffalo.

ASHORE AT ERIE. - A special despatch from Erie, Pa., Dec. 6, says the weather is very cold - the coldest of the season. It is snowing here. There is a large schooner, painted white, three-and -aft, off the peninsula, flying a flag of distress. Her fore-mast and main-mast are both gone, and her forward works are damaged. Shows some signs of a collision with some vessel in the blinding snow storm of last night.
LATER. - The vessel off the peninsula is believed to be the LAKE FOREST. The sea runs high and the vessel lies in a bad position. The bay was frozen up solid, and no tugs here, has thus far been able to break through the ice to render her aid. The tug are making every effort possible.
