Chicago.---While the schooner NORTH STAR was being towed out of the harbor the tow line parted and she swung across the river, her jibboom wrecking the pilot house of the tug KITTIE SMOKE. The tug's whistle was raked off, and to avoid being scalded by the escaping steam the captain and deckhand jumped overboard. Both were rescued.
