Description
Full Text

STEAMERS.---The NIAGARA arrived this morning with the OREGON, SULTANA and
MICHIGAN close behind. The SULTANA broke her piston rod, and was working slowly down, nothing holding it but the strap. The OREGON had a crippled engine, and the NIAGARA coming into the harbor lost several buckets from one of hers.---------------Chicago Journal
