The small steam yacht ISMALIA, belonging to ship grocer John Relbing, collided with the ferry steamer NIAGARA, while the former was coming into the creek from the Erie Basin. The ISMALIA was almost demolished, but did not sink The NIAGARA had a frame broken and some planking cracked. The ISMALIA went into Reilly's floating drydock in the Erie Basin.
