Description
Full Text

COLLISION. - The schooner JO. SMITH, coming into this port, between 9 and 10 o'clock Saturday night, collided with the propeller WINSLOW going out, and sustained serious damage. The schooner was under canvas with port tacks aboard showing a green light, when the propeller tried to cross her bow, but struck her amidships, cutting her down to the water's edge, driving in several frames and starting the center-board. The propeller continued on her course. - Milwaukee Sentinel.
