GALE AND SHIPWRECK. - A little after midnight on Saturday, one of our heavy autumnal gales commenced, which blew until morning with great violence, and which must have caused considerable damage along the lake shore, and among the shipping exposed to its fury. We mention below such of its effects as have come to our knowledge.
The ship MILWAUKIE, which went out on Saturday, was driven back, with the loss of her foreyard arm, and jolly boat.
The steamboat COMMODORE PERRY had her chimnies capsized.

CORRECTION. - We stated, from verbal information, yesterday, that the ship MILWAUKIE left port on Saturday, and was driven back, with loss of fore-yard, &c. It appears that she did not go out on Saturday, but was lying ready, and that the damage was caused by being run into by the schooner HUDSON, during the gale.
