This morning as the schr. MARY MORTON was entering this port, and the bark S.V.R. WATSON, loaded with coal, was going out, a collision took place, resulting in serious damage to both vessels. The MORTON's main-mast was cut off and went by the board. Her forward rigging on the starboard side was also torn loose from the fastenings. The WATSON lost all her jibboom and all her head gear.
