      The schr. JAMES R. BENTLEY, owned by Mr. Robert Montgomery and Capt. Hamilton, lying in the creek near the Sternberg Elevator, caught fire yesterday from a stove in the forecastle, but the flames were extinguished before any material damage had been done.
