ON THE BAR. -- The Chicago Press and Tribune of Friday says: " The schooner MATT ROOT, bound for Buffalo, with corn, in going out of the river last night in the gale, went on the bar, where she remained until three o'clock this afternoon, when she was pulled off by the tug McQUEEN. She received no injury, and at once started again on her way."
