Chicago, Dec. 17. -- The lake freight steamer HORACE B. TUTTLE was damaged by fire at her dock early this morning to the amount of $20,000.

Despatches from Chicago, Thursday, gave information that the RUBE RICHARDS had been burned out forward and that the H.A. TUTTLE had also been damaged by fire, amount of damage not being stated.

The wreck report of the burning of the steamer H. A. TUTTLE in port a fortnight ago places the loss at $30,000 with an insurance of $20,000.

ANOTHER STEAMER PARTLY BURNED.
Chicago, Dec. 18. -- The steamer RUBE RICHARDS, in winter quarters here, caught on fire yesterday in her forward hold, and was damaged to the extent of $7,000 before the flames were put out. It is thought that this fire and that on board the steam barge HORACE B. TUTTLE were of incendiary origin.

The heavy fire damage recently sustained at Chicago by the steamer HORACE A. TUTTLE is to be repaired here. [Manitowoc] To place the hull in good shape will require an expenditure of $15,000. The Tuttle was towed here on Sunday last. The steamer ARIZONA is repairing damage sustained through stranding on Presque. Isle, Lake Huron, late in November. She is to be followed by the tow barge PLYMOUTH which also suffered damage on Presque Isle.
