JAM AT THE SOO.
Sault Ste. Marie, Aug. 30. -- The heavy jam in the canal last night caused the steambarge OADES to run aground opposite the lighthouse. Her consort, the REDWING, ran into her, tearing her entire cabin away and springing her some. She is leaking and may have to go into dry dock. The REDWING lost her jibboom. No passengers or any of the crew was injured on the OADES.
