The excursion steamer IDLEHOUR, which for many seasons ran between Buffalo and Elmwood beach, was burned to the water's edge at Buffalo yesterday. The steamer RIVERSIDE which lay by the side of the IDLEHOUR, would also have burned had she not been cut adrift and carried by the wind beyond the reach of the flames. The IDLEHOUR was owned by W. J. Ziegele. She came out in 1893, had a keel length of 140 feet, with 23 feet beam and a 9 foot hold and measured 347 tons gross. The steamer is a total loss.
