Otto Meyer (Scow), U, sunk, 1 Sep 1883

Description
Full Text

Yesterday the sunken sand scow OTTO MEYER, which has lain for a month in the roadway near the lighthouse pier at Buffalo, was removed by dredges. Messrs. Hingston & Wood did the work. The expedition carried a quantity of dynamite along, but did not use any. The harbor-master observed sarcastically last evening that his work was done ahead of that of the United States officials, who have left the wreck of the FALMOUTH in the outer harbor for a year -- Buffalo Express.
